Super Bowl LII

The 2017 NFL season was one of the most unpredictable seasons in recent history.
During the postseason, the Minnesota Vikings lost to the underdog philadelphia Eagles in the NFC championship.
The Eagles crushed the Vikings 38-7. The Eagles had a fantastic overall season led by young star quarterback Carson Wentz.
Wentz tore his ACL during his game against the Los Angeles Rams in week 14 which made the Eagles unlikely to make the super bowl.
Second string quarterback Nick Foles was able to fill in for Wentz, and Foles put up very impressive numbers during the playoffs.
In the AFC the Patriots proved how effective their system is. During the AFC championship game, the Jacksonville Jaguars had an early lead.
Their aggressive defense and explosive running game seemed to be too much for the Patriots to handle.
However, the Patriots made a comeback after being led by Tom Brady. They won the game 24-20.
Most believe the Patriots are going to win Super Bowl 52, but it is very difficult predicting such an important game.
“I believe Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are going to have to contribute a lot in order for the Patriots to win, and the defense cannot make anymore stupid mistakes,” says junior Morgan Izuno.
The Eagles are going to be underdogs but they have many passionate fans. Their defense and strong runningback core may be enough to topple the defending champions.
“I’m not a fan of either team but I’m rooting for the underdog,” says junior Andrew Shin, “I root for the underdogs in the NFL because they make the games more exciting, and they create legendary stories after the game is over.”
No matter what the outcome is, both teams have beat the odds this season and have accomplished what many players only dream of.
