In a historic season, PVHS Girls Soccer made an impressive run to the Division One championship game.
Finishing the season with 19 wins, including eight wins against Bay League opponents, the team has a lot to be proud of with this past season.
“I’m proud of how far we’ve come, especially since last year because this year we got a new coach,” junior Sophia Kwon said.
“I’m proud of how our chemistry has been really good and how were working hard and having a great season.”
Despite the 3-2 loss in the CIF championship, many players stepped up. Sophomore Gemma Pappas and junior Maddy Herniter were players of the match, and freshman goalie Ava Kordich made several remarkable saves.
“Making it to CIF finals, it was a really good opportunity for all of us and we all worked really hard to get there,” sophomore Finlee Mills said.
With a young team, PVHS Girls Soccer has a lot to look forward to in the coming seasons, as they will be seeking a CIF championship.
