Subway: Not Having It My Way

Not too long ago, it was uncommon to go to Subway and order a sandwich that cost more than $5 (that is if you didn’t order avocado). But with the rising costs of regular amenities increasing daily, Subway had no choice but to change its regular routine. For starters, Subway used a certain month of the year to correspond with a certain sub that would be “on sale” for the short time span of four measly weeks. So for example, if meatball subs were reduced in cost in October, you would be forced to only buy that specific sandwich if you wanted the most bang for your buck. Next, Subway cut back the months of the year to just days of the week.

That’s correct, sandwiches were only $5 for just one day: Tuesday. Tuesdays were not awful because it was not Monday, but they also weren’t the greatest since they meant that there was still three more days until the weekend. Subway played a very insincere prank on many consumers such as myself “forcing” me to eat their delicacies on one day only. Not only that, but Rubio’s also had $1 Fish Taco Day on Tuesdays, making that particular day of the week a dreadful one full of personal debates and after-meal regrets.

Not too long ago, however, Subway turned things back around. Now they are selling a certain type of sandwich for a cheaper price every day of the week. This change has given my life more variety (as I eat at Subway many times in the week) at a lower cost! In case you aren’t aware of the sandwiches of the day, they are:

Sunday: Meatball Marinara

Monday: Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki

Tuesday: Oven Roasted Chicken

Wednesday: Turkey Breast

Thursday: Italian BMT

Friday: Tuna

Saturday: Blackforest Ham

Lastly, although the price for each of these sandwiches is $3.50 for a six-inch sub, not a five dollar footlong, I forgive Subway because of their newly added variety.
