Kim K and Gigi Hadid harassed by same “fan”
Celebrities are a huge fixture in our daily lives. We all want to see the risque selfie Kim Kardashian just posted. We love to fawn over how gorgeous Gigi Hadid is. However, our fixation on celebrities can sometimes take a very stranger turn.
Last week in Milan, super model Gigi Hadid was rushed by a “fan” and picked up from behind. She responded with some pretty impressive moves by elbowing the man several times. Hadid was then attacked on social media for mistreating her fans. “I am a human being and had every right to defend myself,” Hadid responded on twitter.
Yesterday, Kim Kardashian had a run in with the very same “fan” in Paris. He tried to kiss her butt (because she doesn’t have enough people already doing that). Her security quickly took him down in what appeared to be a very painful maneuver.
The “fan” is actually a Ukranian prankster named Vitalii Sediuk, who claims to be protesting fashion. “While I consider Gigi Hadid beautiful, she and her friend Kendall Jenner have nothing to do with high fashion,” Sediuk said to The Hollywood Reporter. “By doing this, I encourage the fashion industry to put true talents on the runway and Vogue covers instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram.”
What he may call a protest, I call straight up harassment and a totally inappropriate treatment towards women. Aggressively picking up a 21 year old girl on the street, whether she’s famous or not, is not okay and should not be tolerated. The same goes for kissing an unsuspecting woman on a completely inappropriate part of her body. I hope that people come to realize that Hadid defending herself from what she perceived as an attack is not the same thing as a mistreating an actual fan. And we should all applaud Kim K’s security and their quick action.
