AJ Is the New OJ

AJ is the new OJ (and I’m not talking about Simpson). The iconic breakfast scenes in movies are pervaded with foods such as waffles, pancakes, bacon, eggs, and orange juice. You see, I have a problem with the last item on the list. Orange juice is not fitting and should be replaced in everyday life with Apple juice.

I am assuming that people brush their teeth right when they get out of bed to wash out all of the grime in their mouths and reduce the amount of bacteria which, in turn, ultimately reduces the amount of acid production and tooth decay. Now onto my main point – Orange juice tastes horrible right after you brush your teeth. If you don’t believe me then you can try this little experiment out for yourself:

  • Brush your teeth all around for two and a half minutes
  • Drink orange juice

On the other hand, apple juice tastes just only a little minty after brushing your teeth. Not only does apple juice taste better during breakfast, but it also has benefits at night.

Studies suggest that apple juice increases the production of neurotransmitter acetylcholine. In easier terms, it means that you experience more vivid dreams. I did this many times and, although it doesn’t work every time, I have time and time again been impressed with the outcome. My dreams feel much more real and I am able to remember more parts of it than without the apple juice.

Whether you’re drinking a glass of apple juice at the beginning of the day or right before bed, it’s obvious to see that apple juice trumps orange juice in many aspects of life. So remember, an apple juice a day keeps the orange juice away!
