Fourth Time’s a Charm?
The new Bachelor is no stranger to the reality show. Will he finally find love?
Oh, The Bachelor. The sweat-inducing, heart-pounding, roller coaster of a show has revealed some exciting news regarding its next man of the hour. Although the date that the show will air has yet to be revealed, the newest Bachelor has been confirmed.
Who might this elusive Bachelor be? Nick Viall.
Viall, our favorite runner-up of many seasons, is 35 years old, 6’2″ tall, and for the third time on a Bachelor-affiliated show, is looking for love.
Viall started his Bachelor career on Andi Dorfman’s season 10 of the Bachelorette. With his small, but sometimes-awkward gestures, he captured our hearts. Unfortunately, Viall was presumably heart-broken when Dorfman accepted his fellow competitor’s proposal over his.
During Season 11, Viall returned for a wild ride on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season. Although many of the other contestants were not Viall’s biggest fans, we all secretly enjoyed the drama he brought to the show. After a controversial night in Ireland, Viall came to the forefront of Bachelor drama.
At the end of the season, we questioned whether Shawn Booth or Viall would emerge with their Neil Lane ring on Katilyn’s hand. Regrettably for Viall, Bristowe chose Booth.
By the time we saw Viall on Bachelor in Paradise 3, we were admittedly a little sick of him. We’d figured that if previous shows hadn’t worked for him, this one wouldn’t either.
We did, however, pity him, when yet another woman chose Josh Murray over him.
Despite this unfortunate occurrence, Viall seemed to have a real connection with newly arrived Jen Saviano, which restored our faith in his ability to find love.
When things ended with her, it seemed as though all hope was lost. This, however, is apparently not the case.
Understandably, Bachelor nation was a little shocked when he was chosen as the Bachelor. PVHS junior, and proud member of the Bachelor Nation community, Katherine MacLeod, expressed her discontent. “I’m not a fan of Nick. I personally think he has had numerous times on the show to find someone to spend the rest of his life with and it has never worked out, “ she said. “I think it’s time that he realizes that this crazy process of finding love isn’t for him.”
Nonetheless, as an avid Bachelor fan, I truly hope that Viall can finally find love. If not, at least we can look forward to the host Chris Harrison and his amusing and usually arbitrary comments.
