The show is known for its comedic aspects with famous actors and actresses. “It kept me up all night laughing!” says PVHS freshman Amanda Gilligan. With crazy gags such as a runaway bride and giant armadillo you know you’ll never get bored.

This mockumentary-style show follows a group of government workers in the little, unknown town of Pawnee. Each episode delves into the lives of the not-so-important important Parks and Recreation department. Freshman Haley Pascal says “Parks and Rec is the best show ever! It’s super funny and always makes me laugh.” Cult followers of the show will never forget such lines as “Treat yo’ self”.
The Office: This U.S adaptation of a hit series on BBC documents the lives of office employees that work for the paper company Dunder Mifflin. This show is filled with unforgettable characters and many awkward scenarios that will have you up till the early hours of the day.

IN A
DIFFERENT WORLD
Doctor Who: Known for being the longest-running science fiction show in history, this nine-season long series centers itself on a 2,000 year-old, time-travelling alien, his human companion, and their job to save the world over and over again. Rarely seen without his blue telephone box, the Doctor and his iconic companion face monsters and creatures that have never surfaced our minds before while traveling through all of time and space. This show will have you laughing and crying all while keeping you excited for more. I can say from personal experience, this show will have you hooked.
Sherlock: Set in modern-day London, the show follows the insensitive detective genius Sherlock Holmes and his loyal partner/best friend Doctor John Watson. With incredible actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, each 90-minute episode will leave you hanging and with a hunger to know what’s going to happen next. From taming the hounds of Baskerville, to stopping the villainous James Moriarty, follow the famous adventures of Sherlock Holmes. However be prepared for lots and lots of waiting for the next season, and yes, unfortunately, there are only three episodes per season.
Once Upon a Time: Despite its name, this show is way more complex than your stereotypical princess and evil queen. The show revolves around a woman by the name of Emma Swan and her newly discovered son Henry. Henry takes her to the town of Storybrooke where many fairytale characters live with no clue of their other life. “Once Upon a Time is the best show ever. I watch it every day.” says sophomore Francesca Houlbrooke. With twists and turns around every corner, this show will have you begging for more.
